Help for the Homeless: A Call to Action

On March 19, the Agents of Change hosted its first day of action. More than a dozen families turned out to collect, organize, and package donations. Together, we collected enough supplies to put together more than 300 personal hygiene packs for use by outreach workers with the Health Care for the Homeless Project (Kalihi-Palama Health Center). Community members also donated household items, including laundry detergent, bed sheets, rice cookers, and much more that we used to fill 10 laundry baskets for new Family Promise of Hawaii families preparing to move into permanent housing.

Agents of Change is a group of Oahu volunteers who are inspired and challenged by current events to engage and improve our community through education and action. We will combine our energy, skills, and resources to become the change we wish to see in the world.
